I’ve always enjoyed writing, but without you, the truth is I’d just be wasting my time. Which is why I am very happy to report that Len Penzo dot Com just crossed the two-million page view mark! Hooray!
When I surpassed the one-million page views milestone last July, I mentioned that I never imagined reaching such a mark, considering that Len Penzo dot Com had received only 13,000 page views nine full months into its existence. Heck, to put things in perspective, that’s an extremely disappointing day for the long-established monster trailblazing personal finance blogs like The Simple Dollar and Consumerism Commentary!
What I find most encouraging though about hitting two-million page views is that, while it took this blog 31 months to finally reach the first million, it took just seven months to get to the next million, thanks to a little push from an epic traffic day last August.
I know. I can’t believe it either.
Once again, I want to thank all of you who stop by to read the blather I post here each week. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! You really don’t know how much I appreciate your support.
Before I go, I’ll list a few more site statistics — just in case you’re interested in that kind of stuff.

Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment. I am 7.5 months in and have just over 13,000 views so I guess I could eventually get to 1 million also. It does seem insurmountable.
Congratulations Len!
Love your blog, Len! Keep up the good work and congrats! 🙂
Super Congrats, Len. That’s a serious achievement!
Congratulations Len. Your entertaining style keeps bringing people back.
Woo hoo! Congratulations Len! I’ve been reading your blog for over a year now, but this is my first comment here. You are one of my favorite bloggers and I try my best to never miss one of your posts. So I guess I’ve played at least a small role in getting you to that 2 million mark! 🙂
Congrats Len, epic numbers! What’s the next big milestone in your eyes? 3 million or 5?
Congrats Len on that second million – the first is always the hardest! Well deserved congrats!
Congratulations! Here’s to 2 million more!
Huge congratulations! Since I am a new reader, don’t slap me for asking: what the hell happened on Aug 1, 2011?
nice!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations — good for you! I have only started reading your blog recently, so am curious…
What are your most popular posts ever?!
Thanks for covering such a wide variety of subjects – keeps me coming back.
Congratulation! I’ll get to 2 millions someday. 🙂
Sweet! But I’m curious too. What happened on 8/1/11 that got you 83000 page views that day? I’m dying to know!
Congratulations!
Hey there, Len. Congratulations on the milestone!
@Everyone: Thank you all for stopping by and your well wishes!!!
@cashflow: Ya gotta have faith and perseverance. It’s a slow-building tsunami. You’ll get there if you stay persistent.
@Bret: I’ve got to give you special recognition for being one of my first-ever commenters! I think you are officially number two after “Jules from Lovely Las Vegas.” We still need to meet for lunch, by the way.
@PK: I think the next logical milestone is definitely 5 million. Well, that is, unless my traffic drops off and it takes me another 31 months to reach my next million! Then it will be 3 million. LOL
@Peter: Yes. That first mill is a real bugger. I honestly thought I would never get there.
@Aloysa and @Jessica: All that one-day traffic was driven by a post I wrote entitled “50 Good Personal Finance Habits Everyone Should Follow” that was prominently featured all day long at the very top of MSN’s front page. What’s funny is the mental hangover I got the next day after I crashed back to reality and saw my typical very modest traffic pattern had returned.
@Cindy: My top 50 all-time most-viewed articles are listed in the sidebar to the right. That list is updated every month, if not more frequently. For example, the top article, “19 Things Your Suburban Millionaire Neighbor Won’t Tell You” has received almost 100,000 page views all by itself since it was first posted in May 2010.
@Retire: I know you will.
@Trent: Thanks so much for all your support and many referrals at the Simple Dollar. You know I appreciate it!
@Flexo: Thank you for all your support too at Consumerism Commentary!
OMG, that is amazing. You are so fun to read, it’s no surprise. Thanks for being a great writer and generous blogger. Best regards, Barb
Congrats, Len! Here’s to the next million! Lifting my glass to you!
Congratulations! Next milestone looks to be one million unique visitors. Not many can say they have reached a million people ever in their life.
Awesome milestone Len! At that rate you will hit 3 million by May! Keep on truckin’.
Awesome Len. But I am not surprised that millions enjoy your writing. They should!
I may have been your two millionth … was on msn.com yesterday and linked to your site when they mentioned your article on why jetted tubs are a joke (I still want one) and then moved on to why corner lots are a joke (have one and love it), but what really hooked me was the by-now-ancient post on why fancy cars don’t impress smart people (or you, haha). Love, love, love it all, fan for life. Keep on keeping it real and you will hit five million in no time! 🙂
Awesome work here Len! It’s always inspirational for newer bloggers like myself to see how slow some of the mega-blogs like yours started out. If this blogging page views thing works anything like compound interest in investing, you’ll be hitting milestones in the tens of millions before you know it! Keep up the great writing.
Congrats, my friend. It’s well-deserved.
@Barb: Awww. You’re making me blush, Barb!
@Maggie: Skoal!
@John: Great observation! I never thought about it that way.
@MI: LOL! Well, I think May is probably just a bit too ambitious.
@Joe: You’re too kind, sir!
@Jessica: Awesome! Glad to have you on board!
@Matt: I wish that were true, but I don’t think that is going to happen. 🙂
@Karen: I couldn’t have got here without you! Thank you for being one of my biggest fans.
Congratulations Len! I really enjoy reading your articles…I like your sense of humor! 🙂
Well done Len. Here’s to the next two million!
Shine and Jay: Thank you.
I love this blog. Don’t remember how I got here bot i always come back. I love the engineering/financial mind at work. From a frugal pediatrician.
Thank you, Dr. Vi. While I appreciate everyone who stops by, my regular readers are the ones who keep me the most motivated.
