Credits and Debits
Credit: I just finished spending a week in the sleepy and (relatively) tiny resort town of Cabo San Lucas, which sits at the end of the 1000-mile long Baja California peninsula. It was my first time there and it was spectacular! The beaches as well as the mountainous desert surroundings are gorgeous, the food was terrific, and the people there are genuinely welcoming and friendly. Best of all, it was much cheaper than our usual vacation spot in Maui – and just a short two-hour hop from Southern California by plane.
Debit: Needless to say, I didn’t pay much attention to the financial headlines this past week – thus, I only have this very short edition of Black Coffee for you today. However, I promise I’ll be back with a full-service Black Coffee next Saturday. Thank you all for understanding!

We came back from vacation a few days ago and noticed there are a couple of ant hills in our backyard. Turns out they are fire ants. My neighbor said the ants killed their pet chihuahua while we were gone.
So … you’re telling me your backyard isn’t a gun-free zone?

Cabo is great. If you get a chance, try my favorite spot in Mexico – Puerto Vallarta!
Never been there, but maybe someday. I know this: I am very eager to get back to Cabo!
