As you go through today’s mail, you pull out three more bills to add to a growing pile. You know you need to get a handle on this; you already work full time. If only you could make extra money online in your free time. Well … you can!
In today’s economy more and more people are finding ways to make money using PayPal. Everyone seems to have a PayPal account these days; as recently as 2016, Paypal reported over 179 million active accounts!
With that in mind, here are a few ways to make money online using apps like PayPal:
Become a Freelance Writer
You don’t need to be Shakespeare to get a job as a freelance writer. You can take online writing classes to improve your writing skills before taking your first assignment, then you can snatch up jobs like blogging, copywriting, or even writing your own ebooks. All these freelance jobs give you the option of getting paid through Paypal. Don’t forget to check out freelance apps like Fiverr where you can find tons of freelance writing jobs.
Take Paid Surveys
Surveys are an wasy way to make extra dough; most only take a few minutes. Be aware that some survey companies only pay in gift cards. However, there are many paid survey companies who will pay you through PayPal. For example, Survey Junkie and Swagbucks both give you several payout options including a cash option. But always make sure you’re getting the best payout for your time because some companies will pay you more in a gift card than in cash. For instance, if you get $1 for a survey in cash, but $1.50 in a Walmart gift card, it’s a better idea to take the extra money from the gift card option. And if you’ve already run out of surveys to take, you can always check out some of these other fast cash options to help you make a few quick bucks.
Try Your Hand at Graphic Design
For artistic types with platform know-how, graphic design is a great way to make money online; plenty of companies hire freelancers or graphic designers who work from home. Another option is to design a shirt or other items and sell those online. Many people sell prints, shirts, and stuff like that at Cafepress; simply attach your Paypal account to Cafepress as your payment method and — voila! — you’re in business.
Sell Your Unwanted Items
If you need quick cash, it’s time to clear out the closet. We all accumulate things we’ll never use again, but don’t want to throw out — so why not sell them instead? You can sell old phones and laptops, even if they don’t work. Some people buy broken electronics and cannibalize them for parts to repair other electronics. What about those old college textbooks or those DVDs you watched once and never wanted to watch again? Put all those things up for sale online and have the person buying them pay you through Paypal.
Take a Transcription Job
Transcription is among the oldest work-from-home positions out there. You listen to audio recordings from doctors, corporate meetings, lawyers, and more, then type out what you hear. It’s super easy! Once you get the hang of it, transcriptionists make upwards of $25 an hour. On top of that, you get a weekly paycheck deposited straight into your bank account or Paypal. Keep in mind that most companies will ask you to pass a typing and transcription test to make sure you can type fast enough without making too many mistakes. Before applying, try taking a free typing test online to hone your skills.
Go Grocery Shopping
You can also “make” money by saving too; for example, using online coupons for your grocery shopping. Stacking coupons can also result in free products — or even a small refund! Another way to make money via grocery shopping is through apps like Ibotta. Simply open the app before you shop and activate coupons for the items you want to buy. After you checkout, scan your receipt into the app so you can get credits for the items, and then transfer the money to your PayPal account.
The Bottom Line …
More ways to make money using PayPal are popping up every day. So if none of these ideas suit you, look for other alternatives! Many brick and mortar businesses allow payment with PayPal because, as the slogan says, it’s “the safer, easier way to pay.” No matter what business you get going, PayPal is a quick way to get your money super fast.
