Grandfather Says: Observations About Blessings

By RD Blakeslee

Original oil painting by: Grandfather’s wife

Grandfather has some observations about “blessings.”

He sees where clergymen bless babies and the hounds in fox hunts.

God’s blessing is often asked for, by God-fearing families as they sit down to a meal and nations as they go to war.

Grandfather says most of his blessings are not easily set apart as events in his life.

The greatest one, life itself, is only fully appreciated as he has progressed from infancy through Shakespeare’s six other ages of man.
