Grandfather has some observations about “blessings.”<\/p>\n

He sees where clergymen bless babies and the hounds in fox hunts.<\/p>\n

God’s blessing is often asked for, by God-fearing families as they sit down to a meal and nations as they go to war.<\/p>\n

Grandfather says most of his blessings are not easily set apart as events in his life.<\/p>\n

The greatest one, life itself, is only fully appreciated as he has progressed from infancy through Shakespeare’s six other ages of man.<\/p>\n
