Drive-By Movie Reviews

Not too long after starting my blog, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at reviewing movies. After all, I figured, how hard could it be?

Of course, to make the reviews a bit more interesting, I invited the Honeybee to join me in these give-and-take dialogs where we debated the merits of some of the movies we watched each weekend. I think we made a pretty good team.

There was an obvious learning curve, but by the end of the series’ run we were really hitting our stride — as evidenced by my favorite review of them all, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3.  Ironically, by then the series was running out of steam if only because the whole process had become a lot more work than I ever expected. That’s not to say we’ll never get back together to do another movie review. But it probably won’t be any time soon.
