Good posts. I actually thought some of these points were valuable or at least to be used as a reference. With this economic slow period, these tips would be handy indeed.

All my pants are black because (I thought) everything goes with black. At least I think I heard that somewhere. Anyway, because all my pants are the same color it allows me to not have to stress each morning when I dress myself for work. I know, sartorial splendor it ain't. :-)

But you know what, Barry? I might consider going with some bright colored polos in the future. The only thing is I am afraid that if I make that leap I may have to let the Honeybee put my clothes out for me each night so I don't make any fashion faux pas! Just to be safe, you know. ;-)

I do promise I will now be checking out your site in the hopes that my sartorial IQ can one day reach double digits.

Barry, thanks again for your contribution. It was a very nice piece. Well done!

Hey Len!

Thanks for including my post, I'm honored! No shame in being a polo-and-Dockers man, I wear them all the time myself (the stain-guard Dockers are particularly awesome, they never get ruined!).

Now, beige, tan, and khaki aren't exactly the same color, but they're pretty darn close! Nothing wrong with red, blue, green, etc. I've even heard that wearing bright colors improves your mood! Something to try, I suppose.

Also, think about the value you would get by adding one new color of pants; the number of combinations in your wardrobe would double! Instantly! If you're wearing black pants all the time, I assume you're wearing black shoes and a black belt. The easiest transition would then be gray; go for a lighter shade for a bolder look (though most shades of gray go nicely with black).

Just like with finances, small, habitual steps are the best way to expand your knowledge and comfort (and the bottom line!).

All of the posts in this carnival look great; I'm proud to be amongst such quality work. I particularly enjoyed the post about student loans (since I'm graduating college in a month, with quite a load of loans myself!).

Looking forward to seeing more here, and to next month's carnival!

Thanks,
Barry
